This residency proposes a hybrid experience that integrates different artistic languages and promotes listening and sharing among participants. The idea is to build masks and spatial maskings to explore the theme of identity, memory and metamorphosis. Symbolic objects made during the meetings and natural materials from Jardins Bombarda will be used to create affective and sensory territories, spatial performances that express and poetise the cultural diversity of the Art&Craft Refúgio project.
Esta residência propõe uma experiência híbrida que integra diferentes linguagens artísticas, estimulando a escuta e a partilha entre os participantes.
Parte-se da ideia de construção de máscaras e mascaramentos espaciais, para se explorar a temática: identidade, memória e metamorfose. Elisa Rossin is a multidisciplinary artist with a PhD in Performing Arts from the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo (Brazil). For twenty years she has been investigating the poetics of the mask, its power to provoke the contrast between reality and fiction through the binomial corporeality and materiality and its consequent possibilities of generating affect. Her study of autobiographical masks began with Pandemic, provoked by COVID 19, as a form of masking the self to reveal, plastically, symbolically and sensorially, the reflections of the soul and the plurality of identities.
Elisa Rossin é artista multidisciplinar doutorada em Artes Cênicas pela Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (Brasil). Há 20 anos investiga a poética da máscara, seu poder de provocar o contraste entre realidade e ficção, através do binómio corporeidade e materialidade e as suas consequentes possibilidades de geração de afectos. O seu estudo sobre as máscaras autobiográficas teve início com a pandemia, provocada pelo COVID 19, como uma forma de mascaramento do ‘eu’ a revelar, plástica e simbolicamente, os reflexos da alma e a pluralidade das identidades
