Based on the OLLA artifact and the idea of the pot/container as a storyteller, the proposal is to develop sculptures-recipients in porous ceramic, for deep irrigation of the soil and the roots that grow in it. These sculptures will be wood-fired in a paper oven built by the group, in a final collective moment that can be open to the public. In this way, we summon earth, water, fire and air to animate the lines we want to sculpt.
With a degree in sculpture, I have worked as a ceramist and in cultural and artistic education and mediation, in more or less institutional projects for a variety of audiences. In this area, I would like to highlight my work in the team responsible for the C.M. Oeiras Artistic Environmental Education Program and in the programming and activation of different community involvement projects in the educational service of Teatro Virgínia.
In 2014, I founded the Rosa Imunda collective space for cultural agitation, which operated until 2020 in a garden house in the center of Porto.
In 2019, I started working with ceramics. I worked in a pottery in Molelos, home of traditional black ware, learning traditional firing processes.
Recently, I joined the Sphere4 collective, with whom I developed the Waterworld project, a proposal for artistic speculation on the transformations of landscapes due to climate change in the Ria Formosa, in the Algarve.
I'm currently in the final stages of my Master's Degree in Visual Arts Teaching at the University of Lisbon.
